I hope this means the fans and bloggers will put away their pitchforks and torches … at least for one game. 🙂 Great to see the #1 line performing like a #1 line and for Brooksy to get a tally.

@ GEO, I’m with you on Brooks Laich. Always 100% hard-working, just not finding the twine lately. Great to see him pot a goal.
Best game they have played in four weeks. Caps played both styles for the first time all year. Next two are good games to play the same and show people that they have some resolve. Next up the Pens before the Steelers win #7.
Good teams find a way to win. The great teams find a way to win when it matters most. A lot of critics said this was a must win for the Caps. This was a chance to grab 2 points on the road, 1st game after the all-star break against the south-east leaders. Well, they did it and it started from the top. Mr. Leonsis blogged about it today as an important and a possible must win on Ted’s Take and the team leaders stepped up and performed. I realize this is only one game but you have to take it one game at a time. If this is a sign of things to come after the break, the future looks bright for a deep run into the playoffs. Lets go Caps
