Hockey and The King

“Stained with the sweat of many an honest hockey gladiator…”

Thus begins an article from April 4, 1957, in The Ottawa Citizen by Greg Connelley and Gerry Mulligan. The article is part of an exhibition currently at The Newseum that my wife and I saw today.

The best thing about it? The story isn’t about hockey, but rather an ode to the “sheer pandemonium” of an Elvis Presley concert. Only in Canada!
