Today the Washington Capitals announced their 2010-11 Season Schedule—well, they revealed the 81 games we didn’t already know about. Some highlights (and lowlights) of next season’s slate:
- Back-to-Back Games: 15 times — 37% of the season’s games
- Longest Home Stand: 4 games in 8 days (Dec 4-11)
- Longest Road Trip: 6 games in 12 days (Mar 15-26)
- Most Painful Stretch: 5 games in 8 days (Feb 14-21) at PHX, ANA, SJ, BUF, PIT — including two back-to-back sets
- Champs Visit DC: Sunday matinee vs. Blackhawks on March 13
- First 5 Games: ATL, NJ, OTT, NYI, NSH
- Last 5 Games: CBJ, BUF, TOR, FLA, FLA
- Surprising: Caps not hosting a Thanksgiving Eve game
- Wear a Touque: Jan. 1, 1:00 p.m., in Pittsburgh
