  1. Gmann says:

Global warming, rearing its ugly head in an epic way, further reduces the quality of the Verizon Center ice allowing only the Trashers’ mascot Thrash to enjoy it.

  2. Don says:

Cleaning off the stank of his namesake team, this brown Thrasher enjoys a bath in what used to be ice at Philips Arena.

  3. Erika says:

I’ll be in attendance tonight, rocking my Semin jersey. GO CAPS!

  4. Winston says:

“I knew the Verizon Center ice was bad but come on!”

  5. NS2NOVA says:

Hope this isn’t a sign of how bad the ice will be at the Phone Booth.
But there is something to be said about the effects of global warming and VC ice. After all, Sid is sitting out due to his tender loins being bruised up. Just not sure if it’s fair to draw that conclusion when there are so many other possible reasons.

  6. DC Sports Chick says:

Eeeeewww, Crosby’s “tender loins.” Bad mental image.

  7. Andrew Tomlinson - OFB Intern says:

Michal Neuvirth is starting in net and tonight’s scratches are Staffan Kronwall and Michael Nylander.

  8. Andrew Tomlinson - OFB Intern says:

There is a good chance here that the Caps are going to bury this game in the first

  9. Andrew Tomlinson - OFB Intern says:

This must be some of the worst officiating I have ever seen.

  10. Gustafsson says:

As long as they keep us on the power play, I’m fine with it.

  11. Gustafsson says:

Ah… so it was YOU who jinxed it for the tie.

  12. Andrew Tomlinson - OFB Intern says:

Well I mean it looked so promising… I promise I won’t do it again.

  13. Curtis says:

    Hello all.
I was at last weekends games and I saw how bad the ice was. I was wondering if any of the OFB crew could explain to the readers if this is ever going to change? It looks like this is a ongoing issue. The ice was a concern in the playoff series between the CAPS and Flyers….I hope it does not become a issue when the Capitals head into the Playoffs this year. I understand that the V center is used for a lot of events but the CAPS should have the best ice that’s available when playoff time comes. Does anyone have a answer for me?
    Thanks, Always Rockin the Red!

  14. Victor says:

It was a lot of fun watching the Geri-Hat Tricks during the second intermission.

  15. EndundNentuap says:

I’m the only one in this world. Can please someone join me in this life? Or maybe death…
