A Homecoming Debut

By now you know the Washington Capitals have recalled defenseman Tyler Sloan from Hershey for this west coast road trip.  It is expected that Sloan will make his NHL debut tonight in his native city of Calgary.
A nice piece on Sloan’s journey to the NHL can be found in both The Post and The Times today.¬† Unencumbered by column inch restrictions, John Walton has a deeper delving piece on Sloan.¬† As the radio voice of the Bears, John has spent considerable time with Sloan and has a bit more on his “career of twists and turns across North America”.
After you’ve read Corey and Tarik, give John a read.¬† Sloan’s story is a good one.

Globe & Mail also has a nice feature story. His sister was a national champion swimmer who died in a car accident on her way to visit their grandmother.
