Matin?©e Open Thread – Caps vs. Red Wings

Most, if not all, of OFB will be at the game today.  We’ll leave the TV on for you so you can watch and chat about the game here.  Just don’t make a huge mess, please.

Red Wing HeadacheTap of the stick to Mile High Hockey reader texacogirl for posting that pic.

Tonight should be special at the ACC. Let’s hope we run that winged tire flat at the Phone Booth to start the day off right.

Is there a reason why the next two games are so early, not that I’m against it, just asking?
I like a beer buzz in the aft.

    Patrick,
The Caps have a largely intact history of playing early on Super Bowl weekend, although more often on Sunday than Saturday. It just works out that there’s two gigs at home this one. I wish this happened more often, because in instances in which hoops and hockey have to split the day, if hockey goes first it necessarily means a better sheet of ice.
Speaking of ice, it appears there’s a new sheet down at Verizon. And, it’s relatively chilly in here.

  5. patrick says:

I agree, as long as the teams aren’t negatively impacted. Today’s performance appears to give merit to the arrangement also. thankyou for the insight.
    cheers
